"Wind Between Two Cities”, features two looping ten minute videos that are projected side-by-side into the corner of a space to place them directly in dialogue with one another. Various strands of visual and auditory content intertwine and cut back and forth across the two screens. This piece is a meditation on a personal struggle to identify with aging and death, where interwoven audio and imagery rupture narrative expectations. Exaggerated simulations of wind, performative self-representation and confessional dialogue were used to emphasize the desire to close the distance between the generations of women in my family despite the cities and circumstances that separated us.
