I approach video making with a heightened awareness of its power to generate fictions and imbue a subject with meaning. It is my intention to subvert how images function as abstractions or artifacts of the real. My video work is an exercise in strategies to interrupt the formal constraints of narrative. My work poses a reconsideration of perception from both sides of the camera by confusing the relationship between subject, viewer and photographer.
